Over twenty-five years of experience in public service and the private security sector. Upon graduating from John Jay College of Criminal Justice with a degree in Police Science, he immediately entered the New York City Police Academy. He retired from the New York City Police Department (NYPD) in 2006 as a highly decorated Police Officer. Extensively trained within the NYPD, with certifications in Criminal Investigations, Organized Crime Control Bureau, Narcotics Enforcement, and Heavy Weapons. Specialized units included SOD (Special Operations Division) Anti-Graffiti Task Force and the Anti-Crime Unit. Upon retiring he obtained his NYS Armed Guard License, and later his NYS Private Investigator license through the NYS Department of State. He went on to open a Private Investigation firm, WHCC, Inc., as well as a Private Security firm, White Hawk Security Services, both companies continue to operate with a full staff of retired law enforcement officers. A member of IPA (International Police Association), ASIS (American Society for Industrial Security) as well as ASCASEPP, he has traveled throughout Europe and South America with ASCASEPP, lecturing Police Departments, and the private sector, on various aspects of law enforcement and physical security. A lifelong Public Servant specializing in Law Enforcement.

Brian Gallo

Brian Gallo is a retired NYPD Detective with 22 years of experience in law enforcement. As a Police officer he preformed Patrol enforcement duties and analysis of major crimes for precincts. Brian entered the Community Affairs Bureau (School Safety Division) where he patrolled assigned schools performing all necessary police duties as appropriate (including enforcement action); assisted school safety agents. Brian and entered the Detective Bureau (Grand Larceny Division) Where he performed comprehensive investigations of citywide cases involving grand larcenies, identity theft, financial crimes, cybercrimes and other property-related offenses. During this time he was part of the major case team that preformed video surveillance and wire taps.

Brian Higgins

Retired NYPD Lieutenant

Brian Higgins is a retired NYPD Lieutenant with 25 years of experience in law enforcement. Early in his career as a Police Officer and Sergeant assigned to Strategic Response Group 4 his duties included riot control, anti-terrorism response, FEMA, citywide and national incident management systems, radiological/nuclear awareness, Homeland Security weapons of mass destruction, Chemical Ordnance Biological Action Team, facility awareness. As a Lieutenant, Higgins had extensive training in leadership and supervisory skills. Other specialized training included hate crimes and related incidents, collaborative policing, communications, fair and impartial policing, gang violence/victims of sexual assault, patrol of multiple dwelling buildings.

Higgins was appointed as Integrity Control Officer for the Queens North School Safety Division. Commanded 475 School Safety Agents, oversaw the command facility and all borough operations, served as liaison with the Department of Education and between the School Safety Division and Patrol Precincts. Responded to all major incidents occurring in or around district schools.

Since retirement from the NYPD, Higgins has performed various security related functions from School Resource Officer, Armed Security and Security Consultations which are customized to meet each client’s needs. Preliminary floor plans, video surveillance, access control solutions and updated emergency management guidelines are among his responsibilities.

Duane Welliver

Retired NYPD Police Officer

Duane Welliver is a retired NYPD Police Officer with 24 years of experience in law enforcement. As a Police officer he preformed Patrol enforcement duties. Duane was assigned to the Firearms and Tactics Section for over 12 years as an Instructor. As a Firearms Instructor he was responsible for training new recruit basic firearms training and advanced tactics training. He also trained active duty Officers in service firearms training and Taser training. After retirement Duane has taught armed and unarmed Security Guard training.

KEVIN MAHONEY

 

Kevin was born in Queens, NY, raised in Brooklyn, NY and currently resides in Franklin Square. Kevin has been involved in emergency preparedness and services since 1997. Kevin’s interest in the emergency services fields started as teenager while completing and earning the highest rank in the Boy Scouts, Eagle Scout.

Kevin has worked as an Emergency Medical Technician as a volunteer, various private ambulances in New York and for the New York City Fire Department in Brooklyn, N.Y. Kevin has overseen and administered Emergency Medical Technician, CPR & FIRST Aid courses since 2003. Kevin remains active in the field as a Lieutenant of an FDNY Engine Company in the Bronx & active in training as the Lead Instructor of the FDNY Counter Terrorism Task Force. Kevin is also involved in the EMS community as he serves on the Advisory Board for Fordham University EMS, Board of Director for the Ridgewood Volunteer Ambulance Corps, Inc., and on the Drill Committee for the New York State & Volunteer Ambulance Association.

Kevin is a New York State Department of Health Bureau of EMS Certified Instructor Coordinator, National Association of EMS Educators Level I & II Instructor, Fire Instructor I, American Heart Association BLS Instructor & National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians Tactical Emergency Casualty Care Instructor.
